MARK WALKER

Although Mark Walker is the youngest, age-wise, of the active drivers, he is one of the longest driver/owners in the Mocha Love Bug Unit years-wise. Through his years of experiences with the VWs, he has become quite an expert in all facets of the mechanics, electronics and bodies of these unique vehicles. He self-taught himself in the intricacies of the maintenance of these bugs and is called upon often by the members to fix up their cars when needed, refusing payment for helping out a fellow Noble.
Mark started out Masonic career in St. Thomas, becoming an E.A. Mason in 1984 at St. David's Lodge#302. He received his Master Mason Degree in 1994. In1995, he walked the hot sands at the ceremonial in Woodstock. He is a member of the St. Thomas HiRo Shrine Club and the Aylmer Shrine Club. He is most active, obviously, with the Love Bug Unit.

His dad, Doug Walker, has been with the Love Bugs since 1980. His grandfather, Don Shackleton, was greatly influenced by Mark to join the Unit. He also has two uncles, Harry Hewbank and Ross Crawford, and a cousin Tim Hewbank who belong. Riding shotgun, his son, Jeffrey, at 7 years of age, often accompanies Mark to the various parades. Probably a Shriner-in-training.

Mark has been employed at the L.C.B.O. warehouse in London for over 20 years. Unfortunately, they don't seem to give out any freebies!

Mark's most memorable experiences with the Love Bugs, besides the obvious fellowship, have been the opportunities to visit many communities, large and small, in Southwestern Ontario and Michigan. He has paraded as far north as Port Elgin, east to Kitchener, south to Port Rowan west to Richmond, Michigan, and numerous cities and towns in between.

Congratulations Mark. Your efforts are very much appreciated by all the Nobles.
